Achievements or Bust

You think I kid?
The time of measuring yourself by killing bosses is OVER. Every man and his pet worg will be clearing Ulduar within weeks. But (and it is a big but) we need to start thinking about ACHIEVEMENTS.

You know, achievements? press y on your pooter and look at the list. Look at the number of points you have accrued... check per category, compare achievements with someone else by right clicking on them. Achievements give you titles, gear, mounts, profession patterns but most importantly of all, achievements give you Hard Modes.

Hard Mode is where it is at. We started with Sarth and his drakes, and Maly on a timer, the naxx axhievements were quite easy, until someone scrolled to the bottom of the list and saw undying/immortal. That was just a teaser of what was to come. Ulduar will be filled with achievements - what 14 bosses 11 with hard modes? I mean come on. You gotta want it. It's not about killing bosses any more, its about Server First achievements and hard mode achievements.

Stop thinking old school, get your brain out of 2 years ago when it WAS about killing bosses. Nuh Uh - no more. You gotta live in the NOW. If you don't like achievements, then you better reconsider your WoW future - raiding, PvP or just plain playing the game. Achievements have changed the face of WoW permanently and irrevocably. There is no going back to the way it was. So you better start wanting those things for their own sake, not merely as a stepping stone to "finishing" a linear path. If you dont, you can get the hell out of my WoW space (that is like personal space, but in WoW)
